Dr. Raja Ram pradhananga is the professor of chemistry at Central Department of Chemistry, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. He received his M.Sc. degree from Tribhuvan University in 1975, securing first position with distinction. He did Ph.D. from Poona University, India in 1982.
Professor Pradhananga has been teaching chemistry to the under graduate and graduate students of different campuses of Nepal. He has been involved in the formulation of chemistry curriculum for 10+2, I.Sc; B.Sc. and M.Sc. levels of science education. He is the author of 6 books on chemistry for I.Sc, B.Sc. and M.Sc. levels.
He has more than two dozens of scientific research articles published in different international journal of repute to his credit.
Professor Pradhananga was awarded HRH Crown Prince Deependra Science and Technology Youth award in 1987 by RONAST for his outstanding research work in chemistry.
His research are in following ares:
1. Electrochemical Sensors
2. Electroanlytical Chemistry
3. Tailoring of activated carbon for remediation of toxic metals and other pollutants from water and waste water.
4. Engineering of alternative environmentally benign cheaper adsorbent.
